I found this grebe caught in landscaping net while visiting my brother in South Carolina. We were out on his boat with a bunch of family, including my mother. It took a while, and a fishing net to capture her, but we succeeded. I was able to cut the net off and the bird was uninjured. We kept her warm and quiet over night and released her the next morning.
